
I'm in the middle of a 28 Day Juice Plan - on the weekend you get a 'treat'! Which is almond milk based - so it's creamy and sweet. Last night's was a basic almond milk and banana mix - which I doctored with added spinach - It was lovely but I made too much. So this morning I'm off plan - and finishing off the left overs... with a few further additions.
This smoothie is delicious, it's packed full of the good gear so it has everything you need to make it to lunch time.
Jump Start Smoothie
500 ml almond milk (make your own if you like - I generally don't bother)
1 banana
1 teaspoon manuka honey
1 teaspoon vanilla extract (or the insides of a pod)
I big handful of spinach (yes, yes, do it - don't argue)
1 heaped teaspoon maca powder
2 - 3 heaped teaspoons pea protein powder (or other non-green protein powder)
Do it like a dude!
Sling all the ingredients into a jug blender - one that has some wellie - enough to fully blend the spinach.
Whizz it good.
It will go creamy and green and taste heavenly - all the more delicious because it is so good for you - you might have to do a malteser advert boob flash to redress the balance of good and naughty in the universe!
This is going to be a regular breakfast smoothie in my hutch...
I chugged this before thinking it would make a good post - so I didn't take a pic. I've nicked one ... it belongs to: P&PB puppies and peanut butter.
